Prevailing Winds "For the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is there is freedom . . ." 2 Cor. 3:17, TNIV

Fart Jokes Rule, Dude!

Ahh, yes. The joy of a late summer fart joke from the “favorite correspondent” mentioned in an earlier post today. I think perhaps my comments regarding the maturity of D.A.D. and his pastor need not be discussed further. It it is kinda sad that, as a friend warned me, the Kirk/NSA crowd would take “Prevailing Winds” to be fodder for a whole lot of poopy jokes.

“Passing wind”! Oh, my sides! Please let me know if you come up with any Credenda/Agenda, Ben Merkle-style titty humor. Nothing glorifies Christ like a good play on words, right?

You guys just slay me.

  1. “The wind blows wherever it pleases. You hear its sound, but you cannot tell where it comes from or where it is going. So it is with everyone born of the Spirit. (John 3:8, TNIV) Keely, it’s quite obvious that your blog title is a reference to the Holy Spirit, demonstrated by the quote of 2 Cor. 3:17 placed directly underneath on your homepage. In light of this, the comment by ‘dad’ making a comparison between “Prevailing Winds” and the passing of gas is not only tasteless but also offensive to those of us who honour that Spirit.

  2. You must be another of those humorless, bitter liberals . . . but I love you anyway.

  3. Actually Ms. Schleier-Cutler and Ms. Emerine-Mix I had this in mind…

“So then, we may no longer be children, tossed [like ships] to and fro between chance gusts of teaching and wavering with every passing wind of doctrine, [the prey of] the cunning and cleverness of unscrupulous men, [gamblers engaged] in every shifting form of trickery in inventing errors to mislead.”

I hadn’t thought of the usage you here suggest. But I’m sure you will assume the worst of me.

By the way I thought this site was about Jesus and not Mr. Wilson.

  4. Actually, DAD, part of the reason I named it Prevailing Winds is also because of the Scripture’s reference to “winds of doctrine” that tickle the ears of the uninformed and immature. You know, like FV.
